Good health and well-being
- Poshan Maah: Kadal Osai FM participates in the annual Poshan Maah celebrations in India since 2019. The main goals of these campaigns are to address and solve malnutrition among children and to improve nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers. Over the years, the community radio station has participated in the programme using various innovative methods like conducting a food exhibition and collaborating with ICDS to conduct on-air programs to promote nutrition.
- Radio programs: Many of our programs address the topics of health and nutrition in their regular content as taking care of our health is one of the primary necessities of life for building a progressive community and society. Community members share health based information and content on our live shows and our RJs include researched nutritional information in their shows regularly.
- Medical camp :Nesakkarangal Charitable Trust partnered with Ramnad Royals Rotary Club, Syed Ammal Trust Hospitals, and AR Hospitals to conduct a free medical camp in Pamban on 29th May 2022. The camp was conducted in Anthoniyar Middle School in Kamarajar Nagar. The partnering hospitals arranged doctors of a variety of specializations to offer the public free diagnosis and basic treatment. Renowned doctors from Ramnad including general physician, Hepatologist, Pediatricians, Nephrologist and Gynecologist were part of the medical camp. Around 200 community members benefitted from the free medical camp.
- NPCCHH: Nesakkarangal Charitable trust was selected by the District administration along with another NGO “ICDS” to be a part the District level Multi-sectoral task force committee of the National Programme on Climate Change and Human Health (NPCCHH) as a member.
