Quality Education for all
- Summer camps: Kadal Osai FM conducts summer camps every year for children during their summer holidays to engage them with fun and educational activities like quiz, art competitions and Spoken English lessons.
- Kutty Chutty Express: A live caller interaction show is conducted by Kadal Osai FM RJs along with a student Co-jock. In this 2 hour show, the kid who participates as Co-jock interacts with other kids from the region through live on-air calls where they discuss educational content and daily school happening along with playing fun games like riddles, puzzles, thirukkural recitation, and multiplication tables.
- Against child marriage and child labour: One of the key solutions to solving the issues of child marriage and child labour are to promote education among children and Kadal Osai FM works on campaigns to raise awareness against these practices often.
- Andrada Vaazhvil Ariviyal :A pilot programme titled Andrada Vaazhvil Ariviyal was launched by Kadal Osai FM 90.4 in collaboration with IIT-Bombay’ Spoken Tutorial Project. The programme aims to teach basic everyday science concepts to students and community members using radio drama. The programme was launched at the District Collectorate by the Collector in the presence of the District Collector Mr. Johnny Tom Varughese IAS, district CEO, IIT-Bombay professor Kannan Moudgalya and the district wildlife department.
- NMBA: Nesakkarangal Charitable Trust was selected by the District administration along with
another NGO “SMSSS” to be a part of the District’s Narcotics prevention team under the
Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 programme as a member.
